By Mary Allison
Still,
I hear You so clearly,
Franticly I have,
Been looking,
For You,
My beautiful One,
My heart?s delight,
Busy searching,
I have missed,
Seeing Your hand over me,
So I wait,
In the quiet,
Secret place,
For are worthy,
I will be silent,
To be still,
And know You are here,
I wait on You,
You are here,
Moving over me,
I wait searching no more,
Knowing,
Day and life,
Have come,
For You are my all,
Any other reason,
Distraction,
Fades,
Far I wait,
For Your presence,
All desire,
Just to be with You,
Breathing You in,
In the quiet places,
I dance,
With my Love,
Covered,
Taken,
Risen,
Broken up,
Oh Beautiful One,
I choose to wait,
No counterfeit,
No excuses,
For Only You,
Does my heart beat for,
All of You,
My heart sings,
For life has been given,
Through such grace,
Raining over me,
I wait,
In the quiet,
Raising my face,
Knowing,
You come to meet with me,
So I wait,
In the quiet places,
In the deep places,
Of Your heart,
That You chase after me,
That I pursue.

Green Leaves
Images of yesterday,
Green leaves of my soul,
Burn bright into today.
Fragile arrays of color,
Held captive by time,
Released by the same.
Beauty remembered
On long winter nights
When time creeps by.
Frost-covered limbs,
Immersed in icy cold,
Dormant lie.
Awakened, they stir,
Barren becomes green,
Alive once more.

We Will Live
A Poem by Mary Allison
Aborted has been Your call
Your will
For Your people choose
To live in sickness
Of the whole body
Bitterness
Defeat
Making the whole body sick
Not able to sustain life
To hold Your call
Your will
More than a moment
A people who have lost
Not knowing what they have lost
But You
Oh Lord
Raise up a people
Now
Different
Who hears Your call
Your will
Your heart
And sickness dies
Cleaned are those
Called by Your name
Washed in Holy Blood
Rich oil poured over
Rising up
To press into this call
This anointing
But also
Claiming
Taking hold of what was lost
Aborted
And that will live again
All that is reclaimed
Pours forth double
Your presence falls
So mighty
Hope breathes anew
Bleeding no more
Dieing no more
Sounding out the call
Your Kingdom come
Your will be done
Taking back all that is lost
Reclaiming all thought to be dead
The birthing has come
And now
Birth pains fading
The joy comes
A new day
The time is now
Your will
Your Kingdom
Taking what is lost
Stolen
Bringing forth
For Your Kingdom
Come
Your will alive
Here
Be done
In this day
New and alive
Yes
We will live
Coming to take it all
We will live
In Your call
Aborted has been Your call
Your will
For Your people choose
To live in sickness
Of the whole body
Bitterness
Defeat
Making the whole body sick
Not able to sustain life
To hold Your call
Your will
